
From September, schools will not be given a staffing allocation for Guidance Counsellors. This will have a very serious impact on future guidance and counselling in the school. The Parents' Association urges you as a parent or guardian to make your concerns known to your local and Dáil representatives.
There will be a National Protest Meeting regarding changes to the allocation of career guidance counsellors in our schools outside the DAIL on Tuesday 21st February at 4.30pm.
The Parent-Teacher meeting for parents / guardians of Second Year students will take pace on Thursday 1st March from 3.45 - 6.15 p.m. Please note the change of date.

Please bring a list of your child's teachers to the meeting.
As part of the national campaign to promote literacy and numeracy, the school will focus this month on creating a text rich environment in classrooms and around the corridors by using notices and posters.
The school library has been re-opened. Students have access before and after school and during lunch time. We hope that many of our students received gifts of books for Christmas and that they are enjoying reading them.
